Our flagship AI HEDGE21 fuses internal data from international trading companies with Al-generated market insights to compute optimal hedging activities protecting a firm’s bottom line from price swings in currency and commodity markets. Our SWARM21 is a habitat to train and evaluate AI-based strategic decisions before operational deployment, targeting the security industry and government agencies.

We are looking for a motivated and highly self-driven data enthusiast to complement our tech team which hosts outstanding thinkers and engineers. You are able to develop ML/AI models covering the entire life cycle independently - from concepts, model development, evaluation, testing, deployment to result interpretation and optimization.

• You design and build advanced ML/AI models to expand HEDGE21 further into the capital markets
• You measure and improve capital market forecasting quality and accuracy for business users
• You deal with frugal AI where only small data sets are available for forecasting and decision making
• You dive into Deep Reinforcement Learning
• You support our ML/AI team to optimize algorithmic decision making for SWARM21
• You can communicate complex models in a simple manner to a non-technical audience of both clients and data providers, in both verbal and written formats
• You work diligently in a hybrid working environment with conceptual guidance in an Agile development process

• Master degree or PhD in a data-related field like Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or any related technical discipline
• 5+ years senior experience in the field of ML/AI or related areas
• An understanding of equity, fixed income, alternatives, derivative markets and analytics, and B2B trading venues
• Experienced in programming languages such as Julia, Python, and C++
• A friendly and highly professional attitude when being involved in client relations
• Pride in 21strategies’ technologies and capabilities, of which you will both be part of as well as contribute to
• Bonus: Experience in Financial Services or Defense industry
• Willingness to self-contained work from remotely, yet very reliably and responsibly
• Native German skills as well as business level English language skills
